BHCC Archives: Collections

These are a small sample of digitized photographs from the Bunker Hill Community Archives photograph collections, the BHCC Campus Life Photograph Series and the BHCC Campus Photograph Collection. The collections contain 5 series each, and consist of an array for photographs featuring students, campus life, prominent visitors to the college, and photographs of the BHCC campus. Campus Life 1 is a photograph from the BHCC Honors Ceremony in 1992. Campus Life 2 is from an unknown year Commencement Ceremony. Campus Life 3 and 3.2 are both from BHCC sports teams - a basketball photograph from a game v. Emerson (year unknown) and a baseball team picture (year also unknown). Campus Life 4 is a photographs of students in the Nursing Program (late 1980's) 4.2 is a sample from a BHCC International Day Event. 5 and 5.2 are photographs of a group of BHCC students at a college event, and a snapshot of students working in the old library. A sampling from the Campus Photograph series includes 1, showing students leaving the Community College MBTA orange line station, built specifically for the college. 2.2 shows President Shively standing next to the building dedicated in his honor. 4.2 is a photograph of then Senator John Kerry speaking at a BHCC commencement ceremony, while 5.2 is a photograph of Harold the Owl, named for BHCC's first president, Harold Shively.
