Art Exhibit "Two Artists - Contemporary Traditions"

North Shore artists Susan Hedman and Bill Travis will display their art in the Conrad Room this month. Each artist incorporates traditional techniques with some less than traditional elements. The subjects include landscapes, garden views, and still life arrangements.  The exhibit is free and open to the public.  All are invited to view this beautiful, colorful show.

"Library Lawn Party & Dog Beauty Contest" - Saturday, June 7 from 1-4 pm

Fun for the whole family - join us for a book sale, make-your-own sundaes and other treats, lawn activities for children. All dogs are invited to register for the Dog Beauty Contest.  It's a great chance to show off your pet's beauty, talent or special tricks. Dog costumes are optional.  The 'Lawn Party' is sponsored by the Friends of the Beverly Farms Library.

Programs for Adults

 Farms Book Discussion Group

Our Book Discussion Group meets on the third Thursday of each month from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
New members are always welcome. Come once or as many times as you wish.

Book selections are:

                 June 19 ~ Summer at Tiffany by Marjorie Hart

Copies of the books may be picked up at the Farms Library.

Library Knitting Group   

The Knitting Group for adults meets at the Farms Library on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. . The next meeting is June 5.  All are welcome to attend the group. No instruction is provided.

"Spring Story Times"

"Pre-School Story Times" begin on Monday, March 24.  Session I, for 2- 3 1/2 year old children, meets at 10:30 AM.  Session II, for 3 1/2 - 5 year old children, meets at 11:15 AM.

"Baby & Toddler Time" begins on Wednesday, March 26 at 10:30 AM.  This session is for infants to 24 months.

Each session runs for 8 weeks.  Please register in advance.

Pre-School Music with Dara ~ Fridays, May 2 & June 6 at 10:30 AM

 Dara presents her musical program each month at the Farms Library. Pre-school children and their parents/caregivers are welcome to enjoy this lively, interactive entertainment.  The show is geared toward children, ages 2-5.  All are welcome. No registration is necessary.

 

"Where the Sidewalk Ends...Funny Poetry" - Thursday, June 5 at 3:30 PM

We'll learn and laugh about the poetry and songs of Shel Silverstein.  Children, ages 6-9 years old, can join the fun.  The program includes lots of Shel's poems plus activities and food. **Please register in advance.**

Friends of the Beverly Farms Branch

The Friends of the Beverly Farms Library support the Farms Branch with donations that enable us to purchase books, CDs, DVDs, and other materials that enhance the collection and provide better services. The Friends contribute to children's programs and activities, such as the "Summer Reading Program" and monthly events at the library. Special activities sponsored by the Friends are "The Nutcracker Tea" in December and the "Library Lawn Party" in the spring.
