October Art Show - "Seasons By the Sea"
Beverly Farms artist Margaret Thorndike will display her recent watercolor
seascapes, landscapes and still life scenes in the Farms Library through
October. An "Artist's Reception" will take place on Tuesday, October 7th
from 5:00 to 8:30 PM. Mrs. Thorndike is a member of the Guild of Beverly
Artists, the North Shore Art Association and the Rockport Art Association. The
exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
All are welcome to view this beautiful show.
Poetry Reading - "Remembering Carolina" - Tuesday, October 25 @ 7:00 PM
New England poet and Beverly resident Neil Bradford Olson will read from his recent chapbook, "Remembering Carolina". The book contains a rediscovered poetry collection that Neil composed during the decade after WWII, representing youthful impressions of his time spent in Marine camps in the Carolinas. Mr. Olson will display the original canvas of the cover illustration by Rose Olson and distribute gratis copies of his recent work. The event is free and open to the public.

"Lights Out Night" - Thursday, October 9 - 6:00-8:30 PM
Go Green!
-Shut off your lights, TVs and computers at home
-Walk, ride, take the train to the Farms Library - our lights will be on
-Bring your family and homework or other quiet activity

have milk and cookies to share
-For younger children, pajamas are
encouraged but optional

Fall Programs for Children
"Pre-School Music with Dara" - Friday, November 7 @10:30 AM
Dara
presents her lively, interactive music program each month at the Farms Library.
The show is geared for children, ages 2-5 years old. All are welcome to
come and enjoy the fun. No registration is necessary for Dara's show.
"Pre-School Story Times" - Mondays
Session I, for children ages 2-3 1/2 years old, meets at 10:30 AM. Session
II, for children ages 3 1/2-5 years old, meets at 11:15 AM. Each
session runs for 8 weeks. Please register in advance for Story Times.
"Tales for Tots" - Wednesdays @ 10:30 AM
This session is for children, from newborns to 24 months and their parents or
caregivers. The program runs for 8 weeks. Please register in advance
for Tots' program.
"Knights of the Round Table" - Thursday, November 6 at 3:30 PM. This program is for children, ages 6-9 years old. Join us as we return to the days of chivalry - with legends, heraldry and courtly entertainment. Please register in advance for this program.
