netLibrary

In the Library | From home

You can now access over 3,000 netLibrary electronic books from home or office. These are recent books from major publishers, and include many business and computer titles, along with books about health, sports, hobbies, and many other topics.
These e-books may be read online through your browser. You can read any netLibrary e-book for fifteen minutes, or "check it out" for 24 hours by setting up a netLibrary account. netLibrary is a licensed electronic service, and you must access this through your own library to gain access to our library's collection of e-books.


New England Ancestors

From the New England Historic Genealogical Society. Conduct genealogical research, take online seminars, and search thier online library catalog of books, periodicals, microform materials, and manuscripts.


New York Times

1987 to present | 1851 to 1922

As of September 2007, the New York Times opened its archives from 1987 to the present without charge, as well as those from 1851 to 1922, which are in the public domain. They still charge for some material from the period 1923 to 1986.


19th Century Masterfile

19th Century Masterfile Series 1 is an excellent resource for doing research in journals published in the 19th and early 20th century. It includes the following indexes: Poole's Index to Periodical Literature 1802-1906, Index to Legal Periodical Literature (Jones and Chipman)1786-1922, Catalogue of Scientific Papers, the Religion Index 1890-1899x and more.
